Novelist and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed established this garden retreat in 1997 in Pirujali village. The property contains over three hundred species of medicinal plants, a wooden treehouse built into a banyan tree, and quirky outdoor sculptures of mermaids and prehistoric beasts. Ahmed spent his most productive writing days here and was laid to rest in a peaceful corner under the trees after his death in 2012. Weekdays offer the quietest walk through the groves.
