Created by the Army and later maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this quiet memorial garden holds 713 Commonwealth service personnel who died in hospitals around Comilla during the Burma campaign. Uniform headstones carved with family inscriptions and military crests stand in rows across terraced green lawns surrounded by eucalyptus and bougainvillea trees. A bronze memorial book in the entry pavilion lists all casualties, including pilots, infantrymen and nurses.

How to get to Mainamati War Cemetery
Beside the Comilla Cantonment on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway, about 7 km north-west of Kandirpar. Local buses or CNG auto-rickshaws take 15–20 minutes.
Cumilla town is about 96 km from Dhaka, around 2.5 hours by road. Every way to get there is in the Cumilla guide.
Open daily from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM; visitors must observe quiet decorum on the cemetery grounds.
