Operating for over a century at the junction of three tidal canals, Bhimruli is the largest floating fruit market in Bangladesh. During the harvest, farmers paddle small timber boats laden with wicker baskets of green guavas and golden hog plums to trade directly on the water. Elevated wooden bridges and tea stalls line the canal banks, giving clear vantage points over the flotilla. Arrive by 8:00 in the morning when trading is at its peak and hire a local dinghy to weave through the boats.
