Constructed between 1890 and 1897 by the Dighapatia estate for Kumar Sharatkumar Roy and his brothers, this grand brick mansion features semi-circular archways and classical pilasters. Kumar Sharatkumar was an eminent historian who helped found the Varendra Research Society in 1910, gathering rare sculptures across the region. Following independence, the estate grounds were incorporated into the military cantonment at Qadirabad, which has helped keep the core mansion well preserved. Few casual tourists know the house exists, but travelers with valid identification can arrange to view the facade.
