Market in Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi division

Kansat Mango Market কানসাট আমের বাজার

One of the country's largest mango wholesale markets, packed with crates of Fazli, Langra and Khirsapat every morning from May to July.

During the mango harvest from late May through July, the roads around Kansat turn into an immense trading ground where hundreds of growers bring fruit on carts, vans and trucks. Wholesalers from Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet negotiate prices by the maund, and you can buy tree-ripened fruit straight from local farmers. The market is most active in the early morning between 6 am and 11 am, when crate-packers and straw-weavers fill the roadside. Combine the visit with a walk through the surrounding orchards.
