No inscription survives, but its style places it in the time of the Husain Shahi sultans, and a dated inscription of 1505 found in a nearby village may belong to it. A single-domed prayer room stands behind a verandah with three small domes, the whole building raised on a platform and approached by steps from the east. Black stone corner towers, stone door frames and carved mihrabs set it apart from the brick mosques of the region. Locals also call it the Shuja mosque.
