The rural poet Jasimuddin grew up in this homestead at Ambikapur on the banks of the Kumar River. The site preserves his family's tin-roofed huts, personal belongings and manuscripts, with a modern museum block added by the National Museum. Beside the entrance gate, the poet lies buried beneath a pomegranate tree, recalling his poem Kabar. Visit in January when the month-long Jasim Mela fills the adjoining grounds with folk singers and craft stalls.
