This twelve-sided brick monument in Madhukhali is thought to have been raised around 1636 by Sangram Singh, a general under the Mughal governor Man Singh. Every face is banded with terracotta plaques showing battle scenes, dancers, elephants and floral bands. Although the summit has lost its crowning finial, the brickwork remains largely intact. The quiet rural lane outside is lined with date palms, best viewed in the soft light of late afternoon.
