Built in the 18th century by the local Lokma Chowdhury zamindars, this sprawling brick mansion features a U-shaped layout around an inner courtyard. The estate included separate residential quarters, guest wings, horse stables and a fortified brick gateway, though decades of neglect have left trees growing through the roofless brick walls. The back of the complex directly overlooks the border fence with West Bengal, lending the quiet ruins a peculiar frontier atmosphere. Few outside visitors ever make the journey down the village dirt road.

How to get to Lokma Rajbari (Lokma Zamindar Bari)
In Paschim Koria village, Panchbibi upazila, about 25 km north of Joypurhat town. Take a train or auto to Panchbibi bazar, then hire a battery van or motorcycle for 8 km to the border.

The mansion stands adjacent to the zero line of the Indian border; carry photo identification and do not cross into border patrol zones.
