Falling roughly 100 feet from high forested ledges, Risang is also known locally in the Marma tongue as Terang Toikalai. The volume surges dramatically during the monsoon rains, filling the plunge pool before cascading down natural rock shelves surrounded by dense hill vegetation. A concrete staircase with rest pavilions leads down the hillside from the vehicle drop-off point to the bottom of the falls. Avoid sliding down the rock surface when water levels are low, as hidden crevices can cause injury.
