Bhai Girish Chandra Sen was an influential Brahmo scholar who accomplished the historic milestone of translating the entire Quran into Bengali between 1881 and 1886. His two-storey childhood house in Panchdona was restored using period lime-mortar construction techniques and inaugurated as a museum in 2017. Inside, glass cabinets display first editions of his translations, personal stationery, research notes and period furniture. A bronze bust of the scholar stands near the entrance gate beside a quiet garden.

How to get to Bhai Girish Chandra Sen Memorial Museum
At Panchdona village, about 8 km south-west of Narsingdi town on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. From Panchdona bus stand, walk or take an easy-bike for 5 minutes.

Closed on Sundays; open from 11 am to 5 pm on other days.
