Pabna sits in the fertile delta angle formed by the meeting of the Padma and Jamuna rivers. The district is known for the massive British-era steel trusses of Hardinge Bridge at Paksey, ornate zamindar mansions in Pabna town, and the busy railway junction at Ishwardi.
