Stretching along the southern tip of the delta, Kuakata's flat, gently sloping sandbar allows uninterrupted views of both daybreak and dusk across the waters of the Bay of Bengal. Morning walkers head east toward Gangamati to watch the sun rise, while evening crowds gather at the central beach point for sunset. Fishing boats haul in nets along the tide line, and stalls sell dried fish and green coconuts behind the embankment. Avoid swimming during turbulent monsoon low tides when undertows strengthen.

How to get to Kuakata Sea Beach
At the southern end of the national highway, about 70 km south of Patuakhali town. Direct buses and rental microbuses from Patuakhali town take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.

High tides submerge wide sections of the beach; do not bathe alone near the estuary edges.
