Erected in 1767 by zamindar Hariram Das, also known as Durgapriya Das, this three-storey brick temple dedicated to Shyam Sundar is the largest navaratna monument in south-western Bangladesh. Nine pinnacles crown its tiered roof, while the exterior facade retains worn panels of terracotta floral motifs and dancing figurines. The surrounding temple enclosure also contains an arched entrance gate and two subsidiary shrines facing an ancient bathing tank. Take care when walking around the upper brick plinth, where mortar has loosened over time.
