Situated in Medda on the north side of Brahmanbaria town, this temple dates back to the early 19th century when a hermit named Durgacharan Giri installed an earthen statue of Kal Bhairab. The original idol was damaged during the 1971 Liberation War and reconstructed into the present 28-foot image with giant brass tridents. The compound draws large gatherings during Shiva Ratri in spring.
