Brahmanbaria lies in the flat delta basin of the Titas and Meghna rivers, renowned across Bengal as a cradle of classical music and home to the sarod master Ustad Alauddin Khan. The landscape is crisscrossed by waterways and seasonal wetlands that inspired the classic Bengali novel Titash Ekti Nadir Naam. Visitors come for historic Mughal mosques, river shrines, and its distinct milk confectionery.
