Vardhan Kuthi বর্ধনকুঠি

The surviving ruins and ponds of a 16th-century zamindar estate, now standing inside the campus of Gobindaganj College.

Raja Rampal established this royal estate in the early 16th century, building a Vasudeva temple and administrative quarters in what was once a major northern pargana. Later rulers, including Raja Harinath in the British period, expanded the complex before the last raja left during the 1947 partition. Today parts of the brick gate, temple remnants and large historic ponds remain within the grounds of Gobindaganj Government College. A brief visit lets you see the brickwork and imagine the old estate.
