Mir Mosharraf Hossain, author of the seminal 1885 novel Bishad Shindhu, was born at this family estate in Lahinipara in 1847. The government renovated the site with a modern library, auditorium, and a collection of early print editions of his plays and essays. Visitors can walk the grounds where the original brick structures once stood and explore the literary exhibits. Combine your stop here with a trip to Shilaidaha along the same road.
