Zamindar Girija Shankar Majumdar of Banibaha constructed this two-storey red-brick mansion in 1892 as his administrative estate house. In that same year, he and his brother established the Goalando Model High School within its halls, laying the foundation for modern secondary education in the district. The structure features semi-circular brick arches, tall wooden shutters and deep verandas typical of late nineteenth-century delta architecture. The Department of Archaeology declared the building an official heritage property to ensure its long-term preservation.

How to get to Rajbari High School Red Building
On Rajbari Main Road in central Rajbari, about 500 metres south of the railway station. A rickshaw from Station Road takes 5 minutes.
