Constructed around the turn of the 20th century by Raja Tonkonath Roy, the wealthy zamindar of Malduar pargana, this imposing mansion stands beside the Kulik River in Ranisankhail. Tonkonath received the title of Raja from the British administration for his regional philanthropy, including funding roads, ponds, and schools. The main two-story palace block exhibits Victorian neoclassical architecture with Ionic columns, semi-circular arched verandas, and ornamental roof balustrades. Surviving outbuildings include a dance hall, treasury vaults, and a brick gateway, offering an atmospheric glimpse into northern Bengal's zamindari era.
