Kazi Nazrul Islam visited Karpasdanga in 1926, staying at the family home of Mahabubey Khuda, known locally as Habul Mia. Under a fragrant bakul tree in the courtyard, the poet composed songs and portions of works like Mrityukshuda while taking part in local musical evenings. The traditional at-chala mud house has been conserved alongside a small memorial library and cultural centre. It remains a tranquil rural retreat overlooking the Bhairab river basin.
