Discovered beneath heavy brushwood in 1978 and partially restored by archaeologists in the 1990s, this ruined hypostyle brick mosque once had 35 domes supported on brick and stone piers. Its expansive floor plan and multiple mihrabs reveal the scale of settlement that flourished around Barobazar during the Bengal Sultanate. Surviving wall bases display delicate terracotta friezes and geometric bands. It is one of the most secluded medieval ruins in south-western Bangladesh.
