Officially named Masjid-e-Jame Abdullah, this distinctive place of worship was constructed in 1888 by Maulana Abdullah after returning from religious studies in Delhi. Built ten feet off the ground on heavy brick arches, local lore claims unseen spirits assisted the rapid overnight masonry work. Beneath the main hall lies an eerie subterranean network of arched brick chambers used by the founder for secluded prayer and contemplation. Visitors are welcome to view the basement rooms, but should carry a light to inspect the vaulted brickwork.

How to get to Jinner Masjid
Located in Denayetpur village in Raipur upazila, about 15 km north-west of Lakshmipur town. Take a local bus or CNG from town to Raipur bus stand, then a short rickshaw in 35 minutes.

Remove footwear before climbing to the prayer deck; avoid entering during congregational prayers unless joining worship.
