Set on the wide eastern channel of the Meghna, this busy river ghat functions as Lakshmipur's principal maritime gateway to Bhola and the southern coast. Hundreds of wooden mechanized trawlers dock here daily to unload fresh catch, creating a lively early-morning fish auction right along the concrete jetty. Ferry vessels and speedboats constantly ply the wide waters against the backdrop of broad tidal skies. Sunset from the terminal pier offers wide river views as incoming trawlers return under sail and motor.

How to get to Maju Chowdhurir Hat
About 12 km south-west of Lakshmipur town centre. CNG auto-rickshaws and shared minibuses depart regularly from the town market, taking 25 to 30 minutes.

The riverfront gets muddy during high tide and rain; keep a safe distance from mooring lines and loading ramps.
