Villagers clearing an overgrown earthen mound in Ramdas village in 1986 discovered ancient brick foundations and a carved terracotta plaque bearing an Arabic inscription reading 69 Hijri, corresponding to 688 CE. While scholars continue to study whether this reflects early Arab maritime contact or later Sultanate brickwork, the site, also called Jame' As-Sahaba, has become an important historic curiosity. Excavations revealed a square prayer foundation, thick brick walls and ornate floral terracotta tiles. A modern prayer hall now stands beside the excavated original foundations.

How to get to Harano Masjid
About 15 km south-west of Lalmonirhat town in Panchagram union. An easy-bike or auto-rickshaw takes about 35 minutes along rural village roads.
