The Nabaganga River flows through the heart of Magura, providing a natural setting for daily town life, country boat crossings, and seasonal races. Along the town ghats near Vainar More, small wooden dinghies carry commuters across to rural hamlets on the northern bank. In the late afternoon, local residents gather along the concrete steps to catch river breezes while boatmen offer short rowing trips along the water hyacinth patches. Haggle courteously with the boatmen before stepping into the dinghy.
