Located near the Indian frontier in Kullagora union, these hills are Bangladesh's primary source of white ceramic clay, quarried since the 1960s. Rain and groundwater have filled the abandoned mine pits, creating a deep pool of striking turquoise and jade hues framed by layered clay bluffs. Visitors can climb the surrounding mounds to see the hills of Meghalaya rising immediately across the border line. Avoid swimming in the water, as the clay bed drops off abruptly.
