Spread across roughly 46 acres along the Betai River in Kendua upazila, Roailbari was a fortified outpost that dates from the 14th to 16th centuries. Excavations by the Department of Archaeology unearthed an ornamental brick gateway, an ancient baroduari mosque, and defensive earthen ramparts linked to Sultan Nasiruddin Nusrat Shah and later Isha Khan. The surrounding village is quiet and shaded by ancient banyan trees. Inspect the intricate terracotta floral plaques on the excavated brick structures.
