River in Pirojpur, Barishal division

Hularhat River Port হুলারহাট নদী বন্দর

A historic launch terminal on the Kaliganga River where passenger paddle steamers and modern double-decker launches dock.

Situated along the Kaliganga and Kocha river confluence, Hularhat is the premier water gateway to western Barishal division. For over a century, the British-era paddle wheelers—the famous Rocket steamers—called at this ghat on their multi-day voyages from Dhaka to Khulna. Today, giant multi-deck passenger launches arrive from Dhaka every morning and depart in the evening, unloading passengers, bicycles, and cargo onto floating pontoon docks. Street food vendors along the ghat sell hot parathas, fried fish, and sweet milk tea to travellers.
