Built in 1913 by local philanthropist Momin Uddin Akon, this rare monument in Burirchar village is constructed entirely of wood without a single metal nail, relying instead on traditional interlocking wood joinery. Master carpenters from Swarupkathi carved floral arabesques, Quranic verses, and geometric friezes into every Burma teak wall panel, pillar, and perforated screen. The single-chamber prayer hall is topped by a two-tiered corrugated roof designed for high rainfall. Declared a protected national heritage site in 2003, it stands as an exceptional work of indigenous Islamic timber architecture.
