Pirojpur occupies the western edge of the division along the Baleshwar and Kocha rivers, where rural life unfolds along a labyrinth of tidal creeks. During July and August, farmers gather in wooden dinghies at Kuriana and Atghar to sell freshly harvested guavas and hog plums directly on the water. Inland, travellers discover historic zamindar temples at Rayerkathi and the remarkable wooden Momin Mosque in Mathbaria.
